Briefing 1.

Stephen Lawrence sat on a chair with his feet on the holomap table.
the new additions to his team was to be here any minute now.

lawrence had always hated sitting around, doing nothing. when not in the field ofcourse. in the field he could spend hours lying in the grass, waiting for his target, only to fire a single bullet.
only now, he was sitting on a chair in a cold, steelplated room staring at the flickering holomap.
he tried to zoom in on a fly on the wall with his bionic eye. it didnt take him long to realise there was better things to spend his time on.

now, where the bloody hell were those new soldiers?

Chris entred the room, droped his bag on the flor and took a breath. "Chris Mcgregor reporting for duty sir!" He shouted!

"at ease soldier" Lawrence answered. "theres no need to shout."

he looked at his new recruit before telling him to sit down.

"youre my new engineer right?"

"Thats right sir, nobudy can enginering like me. I am also a good technisian and scientist." He answerd.

"thats good son, we will need that."

Lawrence said without taking his feet from the holotable.

"now, the others are late. congratulations mcgregor, you are the only one from your squad that wont have to be on latrine duty today!"

Right when Lawrence was done talking to Chris, Sasha opened the door and nodded to Lawrence, looked at Chris, then nodded to him too. He closed the door and stood by it for further orders about what to do.

Lawrence stood up from his chair and looked harshly at Sasha.

"And you are, private?"

"Private Sasha reporting for duty!" He said with an Ukrainian accent

"ah, youre my new rifleman, correct?"

"That would probably be me, sir," Gabriel coughed as he entered the room. "Had some trouble sawing through the ball and chain at home, so to speak."

"ah..." Lawrence said with a glance at gabriel. "now that everyones finally here, we'll commence the briefing"

Lawrence pushed a couple of buttons on the holo-table, and when it didnt start, he gave it a hard kick with his booted foot. The thing started with a sudden humming sound, and a lightblue, flickering image of a village appeared above it.

"this is a survivorvillage in northern africa. The intelligence department says that this village have found an old nuclear bomb from the great oilwars. As you all might understand this is posing a threat to G.U.N."

Lawrence went around the table.

"we have to infiltrate and neutralize the bomb. even though we dont know if it even works, it has to be done."

He shut of the holt-table and turned to his new squadmates.

"Questions?"
