Background.

After the third world war that stood between all of the major nations in the year 2300, the world was almost non-recognizable. The only nations to still stand after 200 years of war, are the USA, the again resurrected Soviet union and the GUN. (Great United Nations). Russia had started to collapse into itself due to bad leadership and even worse economics. After a long and fierce political debate, Russia agreed to forge anew, the Soviet Union. They quickly reinstated a political agenda that had not been used since the age of Stalin. They expanded to their former borders and once again raised the hammer and sickle as their symbol.When the Soviet Union reformed, The USA felt threatened and declared war upon the Soviet Union. The war that broke out was mainly fought in between these two countries, in Europe. Therefore the UN supposed to all its nations that it be put together to one great nation to be able to defend themselves against the USA and the Soviet Union. And so formed the Great United Nations. This newly formed superpower stretches from Finland in the north, to Spain in the west, to India in the east.

The USA in their turn, noticed that the might of the Soviet Union was greater then they had thought. They had to expand their borders. Therefore the USA invaded South America and annexed all of it into the United States. The Asian countries chose to stand alone in the war, and therefore all of Asia has been crushed in the conflict, even though the Soviets annexed Japan. Australia and New Zealand has also been reduced to nothing but blasted wasteland and dead forests.Africa were fought over hard in the beginning of the war because of its oil, and was left ruined and in chaos. All of its separate countries have been destroyed by American and Soviet forces. When the oil finally ran out, both American and Soviet forces withdrew back to their separate nations. All of the countries that did not join the GUN, was either annexed into one of the other two major nations, or was simply just eradicated from the face of the earth. Although the pieces of no-man’s-land that once were proud nations now are filled with vengeful survivors, they are not treated as countries by the major nations, and therefore their habitants not considered as humans, and often used as slaves by the great nations. Those survivors that still are free in these nations, all live like bandits in their own lands. Trying to survive with nothing but the leftover equipment from the wars that has stood there before, they battle each other for food and weapons, the only things that still matter in these dead lands.

The Hellhole.
Already in the year 2000, there were rumours of the Russian mine that had been dug all the way to hell. In that time that was called just lies, but a there had been a bit of truth in it. The Russians had dug so deep that they had found an entirely new mineral, which, if used right, could induce a zombie like state in any man, woman or child. The Russians had researched upon this mineral until the third world war broke out, and then they were not late to exploit its effects in war.Those under the effects of the mineral have all had their minds rewritten to love the soviet union with all of their heart. They would do anything their officers tell them to do for their motherland. They do not feel pain, no fear, they never give up, they can survive for several days without nutrition or water, they are the perfect soldiers.

Area 51.

In the year 1950, a fleet of alien ships crashed in the deserts of the USA. Its passengers dead since long before they crashed. All of the spacecrafts were almost immediately transported to area 51 for testing and research. They were all extremely sophisticated and Americas top scientist could not make anything from it. A 150 years later though, the research were once again initiated, and this time the scientists managed to understand some of the technology. From it they developed, in secrecy, the first plasma technology. This technology is extremely devastating, and costly. Also developed from the alien technology were the first walking tanks, exoskeleton battle armour, and primitive sentient machines. American soldiers therefore now are all encased in their exoskeleton armour when in battle. They can take several rounds before they go down, and are much stronger then a normal man and could crush bones with their fists.The Americans has fused their remaining discoveries to create the deadliest creation since the atomic bomb. They built gigantic, six legged tanks, armed with dual plasma artillery guns. These were almost impossible for men to pilot, as the legs all had to be managed separately. Therefore they tried to put their newly created AI in control of one of the walkertanks, and this was a large success. The monstrosities therefore are crewed by both men and AI.
